Can you take another chocolate post?
Of course you can - especially when it's Cook Sister's flourless chocolate cake.

I should have posted this a while back, as the cake was made for a family birthday back in late January. Never mind, better late than never, as the saying goes.
Not great photos as the lighting was really poor. (Excuses, I know!)
The cake is soft, moist and rather decadant. The only change I made was to make a creamy mascarpone topping to crown this beauty.

Jeanne, writer of the fabulous blog Cook Sister! got the recipe from a cooking class she attended several years ago. It's gluten free and rather wicked after being topped with a mascarpone cream.

You will find the recipe in this post at Cook Sister!
Thank you Jeanne, this one's a winner.

Check out the cute coloured flames on the candles

Looks good! Love the mascarpone topping.
Ooooooooh yes, it does look wicked, & the mascarpone on top makes it even 'wickeder'!! Must check out the recipe at Jeannes; flourless chocolate cakes are indulgent beyond words. Love the pic of the cake in the tin, & also the sloice on the platter.
I heard the word "chocolate" and HAD to check it out!! This looks and sounds absolutely yummy! The mascarpone topping must give it an addicting twist!

I'm so glad you made & enjoyed this - my friends all adore it. Sinful is not the word - who said gluten-free eating was healthy eating?! ;-) I love the idea of topping it with mascarpone too - and the proposed new banner. LOL!
Hi, Nic, just catching up after my hibernation, and I see you've been on quite a chocolate binge this spring -- always a good thing, I say! ; D
As always, your photos make me want to go and bake something...
BTW, belated congrats on your 2-year!
